Roberto Interiano

Roberto Interiano manages part of OLPC’s business development activities in Latin America, Africa, Asia and in the U.S., developing business models for corporate sponsors and multilateral agencies, and supporting new laptop deployments.

Roberto joins One Laptop per Child from a mergers and acquisitions and private equity firm focused on emerging countries. Before that, he helped lead growth and best practices for contact centers at Dell; expanded Ernst & Young’s corporate advisory services in Central America; and as a board member of CTE-Telecom, helped oversee business expansion, investment, strategy and corporate governance decisions at a leading telecom company in Central America.

He has also served as Under Secretary of State and Vice Minister of Foreign Relations for El Salvador, where he was responsible for the development of foreign policy and key negotiations including for Central America’s Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) with the U.S. At the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a part of the World Bank, he led IFC investments in private sector companies in emerging countries.

Roberto is a graduate of the Executive Program in Strategy and Organization at Stanford University. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial management and industrial engineering from Purdue University, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
